At Queens Park Infant Academy we are a happy school; learning caring, succeeding together.
This week we are celebrating friendships. You may have already heard about some of the exciting activities your children have been participating in and I know many of them are looking forward to dressing up on Friday to link with Children in Need.
The children will be talking about what it means to be a good friend and what we can do when things go wrong with our friendships. They will discuss words of kindness and how we can help someone who is sad or upset.
Stories are a great way to explore some of these themes. Follow the links to listen to an online version of the story and enjoy talking with your children about their learning in school.

How to be a Lion is a picture book about friendship, the power of words and standing up for yourself. It is a gentle, animal-themed story that is a good starting point for talking to your child about when it is important to say no.

Elmer helps children to learn about positive relationships and the importance of kindness. There is a clear message that it’s ok to be different as Elmer learns to stay true to his fabulous, unique self.
