Bee Happy After School Club

We offer a secure, fun and caring after school childcare environment exclusively for children who attend Queen's Park Infant Academy.

Opening Times

The club is open from the end of the school day until 5.30pm Term time only.

If you are unable to collect by 5.30pm due to unforeseen circumstances, please contact Pauline on 07999 714100.

Persistent late pick ups after 5.30pm will incur a charge of £10 and the possible refusal of a place.

  • Children are collected from their classrooms and brought to the club by Bee Happy After School Assistants.
  • If the children attend a sports/dance club on a day they are also booked into Bee Happy, it is important to advise Pauline. Children will be brought to Bee Happy after the club has finished.

Facilities

We have a large room at the east end of the school where we have access to an outdoor area, the nursery garden and toilets.

We offer a range of board games, card games and puzzles for the children to use.

There is a role play area with a shop, kitchen and equipment.

Dolls and prams

Cars, garages and track

Lego and construction toys

Arts and crafts including painting and colouring

Dressing up

For outside play we have use of the nursery garden where children can play various games including football, hide and seek or just enjoy being outside with their friends. If the grass is wet, we can also use the playground directly outside Bee Happy.

We provide a snack, typically bread or crackers with butter and either jam, lemon curd, honey or marmite and a drink of water or fruit squash. Fruit is also available

If you have any questions, please email bee.happy@coastalpartnership.co.uk or send a text to 07999 714100.

Organisation

The club is run by QPIA staff within QPIA policies and Pauline Abel is the Manager.

There is a trained first aider and a designated safeguarding lead (DSL) on site daily. The DSL is Pauline Abel.

Children can be collected at any point during the session by ringing the dedicated bell at the East End door.

We accept childcare vouchers from:

  • EdenRed
  • Care4
  • Co-operative flexible benefits

We are registered under Queens Park Infant Academy

it is important to advise me by email: bee.happy@coastalpartnership.co.uk each time a payment has been made including date sent, payment amount and voucher provider.

Bee Happy bookings from September 2023

We will be using Arbor for booking and payments. If you haven't already registered with Arbor, you will need to do that first. Click on the link below for information on how to use Arbor when booking sessions.

https://support.arbor-education.com/hc/en-us/articles/360008179494-Signing-my-child-up-for-a-Club-on-the-Parent-Portal-or-Arbor-App#free-clubs-on-the-parent-portal-0-0

Parents of reception children starting in September, please note:

The school will be sending out a welcome to Arbor email at the beginning of the new term. There is no need to do anything before then. Reception children will only be able to book Bee Happy once they are at school full time from 18th September.

Once you've registered with Arbor, you just follow the instructions given for 'signing my child up for after school club'

For online payments, you will need to top up your account before you are able to book a session.

If you pay by childcare vouchers, please advise me if you haven’t already. Once this has been added to your account, you will still be able to book while waiting for childcare voucher payments to clear.

It is important to advise me, by email, each time an amount has been paid in order to keep your account up to date. This will not happen automatically.

Bookings can be added up to 3 hours before a session starts. This gives you more flexibility. We can add a credit on your account for a session you no longer require but we cannot provide a refund. Please email bee.happy@coastalpartnership.co.uk if you need to cancel a session and a credit will be processed.

The cost will rise to £8.50 per session from the start of the new term.
