Please find here some information about keeping your children safe online. You may think that your child is too young for you to be thinking about him / her using social networks and the internet, however the experts want to reach parents of children who are four years of age and upwards. We are all aware that the internet can be a hugely beneficial resource for children as learners but, equally, we know there have been worrying outcomes when parents have been unaware of their child's contacts on internet sites. We have an Online Safety Champion, Miss Lucas, who is available to offer guidance to further help, please contact her via the school office. Our Designated Safeguarding Leaders are also trained in all aspects of online safety.

The children shared a story. The main character, Digiduck, helped children to know that things that cost money (or coins) in a game can cost money in real life and that they should always check with a trusted grown up before clicking on these things. They will also begin to learn that passwords should only be shared with grown ups they trust and not with their friends.
The story can be found here https://www.childnet.com/resources/digiduck-stories/digiduck-and-the-magic-castle/
Year 1
The children learned that not everything that is online is true and also learned what to do if something online makes them feel upset or sad.
The children watched the video you can find in the link below. It has a catchy song to help the children remember what to do if they need help online.
