The Year 2 children have recently begun preparations for their move to Key Stage 2, and for the majority of them this means a move to Q.P.A. This can be a big step but we aim to ensure that the transition is as smooth as possible. The first transition event was ‘kicked off’ with a football tournament. This proved to be a popular choice, the children had an action packed afternoon playing alongside Year 3 pupils and getting to know the Year 3 staff. This was followed up with a useful and valuable Assembly led by Year 3 and 4 Q.P.A. School Councillors. Our children were given lots of information and were able to ask many questions. They were very keen to know about the Rewards System and liked the sound of the Science Club! This visit generated more questions, which the Year 2 have been able to ask Year 3 this week during a follow-up visit to Q.P.A. All very exciting! The Year 3 teachers will soon also visit to spend time with your children here.
