I am sure that many of you are very aware of the Squid Game phenomena – with Series 2 now playing on Netflix - which has once again found its way into many schools, into children's’ play and daily conversations. This again includes our own school and playground – children in Years 2 and Year 1 are talking and playing a version of What’s the Time Mr Wolf, known as traffic lights where children pretend to shoot, kill each other when the children turn around.
Please can I alert you all to the fact that Squid Game is intended for adult viewing only and should not be watched by children – this is particularly challenging when there are older siblings/friends or relations that our young children spend time with. There are also online games linked to the Squid Game series that should be monitored carefully for underage access.
Please use our links on our safeguarding page if you wish to know more about setting parental controls.
I attach a detail article released in 2021 which is a factual description of the game.
