Ru – Our Pets as Therapy Dog

QPIA is registered with Pets as Therapy, and we are so lucky to have Ru (and his owner Karen) as part of our school team.

Ru comes to school regularly. He sometimes visits assemblies, but most often is found listening to stories. It’s called the ‘Read 2 Dogs’ programme (you can find out more about Pets as Therapy and Read 2 Dogs by clicking here).

Most of the children will see Ru, but he will only work 1:1 with a few children each term. This is managed by Mrs Parker, our Family Support Worker.
