School Meals

Our School Meals are provided by Chartwells, who provide the meals for a large number of schools in our partnership.

All the meals they provide are nutritionally balanced and meet stringent government guidelines. Information about the menu and details of all allergens along with the process for ordering meals are available below and also on our provider's website (dorset.mealselector.co.uk). Vegetarian options are provided and most special dietary requirements can be catered for.

The first step is to register your child with our school meal provider (Chartwells). Once this is done, meals can be ordered. If a special diet is required, for example because of an allergen or medical condition, then the providers will be in touch with the parent once registration is complete – this process is handled directly by the provider and not the school.

The Chartwells menu for Autumn / Winter 2026 has now been published, and it looks really tasty. Please follow this link (here) to order a meal for your child. Don't forget to look carefully at the cut off dates, as meals need to be ordered well in advance.

Managing Allergies in School

Our school manages allergies in accordance with our First Aid and Medical Conditions, Managing Medication and Allergy Policy which can be found on our policy pages here.

Our school is ‘Allergy Aware’; this means that school staff have an awareness of allergies and the 14 key allergens; they understand how to deal with an anaphylactic episode and encourage pupils, visitors and parents to be allergy aware and ensure that staff know how to manage a safe environment.

Hot School Meals are free for all of our children under the Universal Free School Meals scheme.
