E-Safety

Dear Parents,

Please find here some information about keeping your children safe online. You may think that your child is too young for you to be thinking about him / her using social networks and the internet, however the experts want to reach parents of children who are four years of age and upwards. We are all aware that the internet can be a hugely beneficial resource for children as learners but, equally, we know there have been worrying outcomes when parents have been unaware of their child's contacts on internet sites.

The NSPCC and O2 have launched a campaign to illustrate how innocent searches online can lead to not so innocent results. The site below highlights how using parental controls to block or filter content can help keep children safe online and includes information on how to set up parental controls on mobiles and tablets, home computers, search engines and games consoles.
E-safety Update May 2017 - Just to inform parents and carers that the NSPCC has updated their Net Aware site, this gives tips on the most popular social media, sites, apps and games used by children and young people and gives guidance on how to help your child with E-safety issues.
